Melissa Lloyd

Melissa was first introduced to the food and hospitality industry while she was studying business at San Jose State University, when she began working as a server for a local leading restaurant group. After earning her bachelor’s degree, Lloyd left the restaurant business for an internship at Pebble Beach Resort, where she assisted in the planning and execution of special events.

Upon completing her internship, Lloyd returned to the restaurant industry to work with Green to develop and manage beverage programs. Lloyd left the restaurants in 2008 to focus on the creation of ROAST Coffee Co. with Green and roaster Alex Roberts. At ROAST, Lloyd manages the business development for the company, including marketing and branding efforts, developing partnerships, staff training and the sourcing of new accounts. "It’s exciting to build this company from the ground up," Lloyd explains. "There are always new projects in the pipeline."
